Chisinau Ribbon Weave

Each player holds the end of one ribbon hanging from the pole and stands evenly spaced around it.

As music plays, players walk in a circle, alternately passing inside and outside the neighboring dancer's path.

The over-and-under walking pattern causes the ribbons to weave together into a braided pattern down the pole.

Dancers continue until the ribbons are fully woven or the music signals a stop.

The group can then reverse their steps in the opposite pattern to slowly unweave the ribbons back apart.
