Checkers (Draughts)

Set up 12 pieces per player on the dark squares of the three rows closest to them.

Players move pieces diagonally forward, one square at a time.

Capture an opponent's piece by jumping diagonally over it into an empty square.

A piece reaching the far end row becomes a "king" and can move diagonally in any direction.

A player wins by capturing all opposing pieces or leaving the opponent with no legal moves.
