HOW TO PLAY
1

Each team builds and carries a large wooden A-frame chariot on their shoulders, with a team captain riding or standing at the top to direct the charge.

2

The two teams advance toward each other from opposite ends of the field, chanting and building momentum as they close the distance.

3

When the chariots meet, the teams push and lock their frames together, straining to shove the opposing chariot backward or knock it off balance.

4

Team members supporting the frame from below try to lift and tilt the opponent's chariot while protecting their own captain from falling.

5

A team scores a decisive win when the opposing chariot is toppled to the ground or its captain is forced to jump off.

6

Matches are often held as a knockout tournament between village or neighborhood teams during a local festival.
