Cat's Cradle

Loop the string around both hands and weave it between your fingers to form the first pattern.

A second player pinches specific crossed strings and lifts them away, transferring the shape onto their own hands as a new pattern.

Players alternate lifting and transferring the string back and forth, each move producing a different named shape.

If the string tangles into a knot or falls apart, that player starts the pattern over from the beginning.

For solo play, one person can create many of the shapes alone using just their own fingers.
