Cat and Mouse (El Gato y el Raton)

The group forms a circle, holding hands, with one player chosen as the cat standing outside the circle and another as the mouse standing inside.

The circle chants or sings to encourage the chase, occasionally lifting joined hands to let the mouse pass through gaps.

The cat tries to break into the circle or slip through the same gaps to chase the mouse.

Circle players can raise or lower their joined arms to help the mouse escape or to block the cat's path.

The chase ends when the cat successfully tags the mouse, or after an agreed time limit is reached.

New players are chosen for cat and mouse, and the circle re-forms to start the next round.
