MEASUREMENTS
Course length typically 50-100ft (15-30m) across a pool, pond, or lake.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Give each team an equal supply of cardboard and tape and a fixed build time to construct a boat.
2
Teams design and assemble their boat, reinforcing seams and joints so it can hold at least one paddler.
3
At race time, teams carry their finished boat to the water's edge and launch it without other assistance.
4
One or more team members climb aboard and paddle toward the finish line using hands or paddles.
5
A boat that takes on too much water and sinks is out of the race, though paddlers may swim the rest for fun.
6
The first boat to have its paddler cross the finish line still afloat wins the race.
