Canasta

Deal 11-15 cards to each player, with the remainder forming a draw pile and one card starting the discard pile.

Players draw and discard each turn, aiming to form melds of 7 or more cards of the same rank (a "canasta").

Wild cards (jokers and 2s) can substitute in melds, but a natural canasta uses no wild cards.

Players may pick up the entire discard pile under certain conditions to add to their melds.

A team scores by completing canastas and going out first; points are tallied from all melds made.
