Bruneian Adai-Adai Song Circle

Explain that Adai-Adai is a traditional fishing song sung in a call-and-response style while gently swaying.

Sit or stand in a circle, gently swaying side to side together as if on a small boat.

One player sings or chants a short line, and the rest of the circle repeats it back in unison.

The lead role passes around the circle clockwise after every two lines.

Each new leader must invent a fresh line that still fits the swaying rhythm.

Continue around the full circle until everyone has led at least one line.
