Bisca
- 40-card deck (Ace through 7, plus face cards, no 8-9-10)
Deal three cards to each player and place the rest of the deck face down, turning the top card face up beside it to reveal the trump suit.
On each turn a player plays one card; the highest trump played, or the highest card matching the suit led, wins the trick.
After each trick, both players draw a fresh card from the stock, with the trick winner drawing first, so everyone always holds three cards until the stock runs out.
Aces and sevens are worth the most points when captured in a trick, so holding back a trump ace for a valuable trick is a common tactic.
Once the stock is exhausted, play out the final three tricks from the cards remaining in hand.
Add up the point value of all cards each player captured in their won tricks; the higher total wins the round.
