- Two 32-card piquet decks combined (64 cards total)
- Paper and pencil for scoring
HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal eight cards to each player and place the remainder as a stock with the top card turned to set trump.
2
On each turn, a player leads a card, and if holding one, may first lay down a scoring meld such as the bezique itself: the queen of spades with the jack of diamonds.
3
The player wins the trick if their card beats the card led or follows suit with a higher card, taking both cards and drawing back up to eight from the stock.
4
Melds are scored the moment they are declared, and only one meld may be declared per turn.
5
Once the stock is exhausted, play continues without replacement, and the final trick and remaining melds are scored to decide the winner.
