Bentik (Indonesian Stick-Hitting Game)

Dig a small groove in the ground and lay the short stick across it.

Use the long stick to lever the short stick up into the air.

While it is still airborne, swing the long stick to strike it and send it flying as far as possible.

Opposing players in the field attempt to catch the flying short stick before it touches down.

A caught stick puts the batter out, while a stick that lands safely earns points measured in stick-lengths from the groove.

Rotate turns among players and total each player's distance across multiple hits to find the round's winner.
