MATERIALS
- A 32-card deck (7 through Ace in each suit)
HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal cards to each player, then go through a bidding phase where players propose a trump suit based on their hand.
2
The trump suit is set once a player's bid goes unchallenged; play then proceeds in tricks, following suit when possible.
3
Trump cards beat any non-trump card, with a special ranking order for trumps that differs from the other suits.
4
Certain card combinations, like a run of consecutive cards in one suit, can be declared for bonus points before play begins.
5
Points are tallied from tricks won plus declared combinations; the partnership with more points wins the deal.
6
Play multiple deals to an agreed total score, commonly 501 or 1001 points.
