MATERIALS
- A carved mancala board with two rows of pits
- Small seeds, pebbles, or shells as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Distribute an equal number of seeds into each small pit along the board, leaving the larger end stores empty.
2
On a turn, scoop up all the seeds from one pit on your own side and drop them one by one into each following pit going counterclockwise.
3
If the last seed dropped lands in your own store, you earn another turn immediately.
4
If the last seed lands in an empty pit on your own side, you may capture that seed along with all seeds in the opposite pit.
5
The game ends when one side's pits are empty, and whoever has collected the most seeds in their store wins.
