DIFFICULTY
SETTING
Outdoor
MATERIALS
- A baseball bat
- A baseball
- Gloves
- Four marked bases
HOW TO PLAY
1
The fielding team's pitcher throws the ball toward the batter, who tries to hit it into fair territory.
2
After a fair hit, the batter runs the bases counterclockwise while fielders try to get them out.
3
Outs occur by catching a fly ball, tagging a runner, or throwing to a base before the runner arrives.
4
A team's turn at bat ends after three outs, and the teams then swap batting and fielding roles.
5
Runs are scored each time a runner safely circles all the bases back to home plate; the team with more runs after nine innings wins.
