Balote

A player tosses the small target ball down the court to set the mark for the round.

Players take turns rolling or lightly tossing their larger balls, trying to land as close to the target ball as possible.

Players may also aim to knock an opponent's ball away from the target or shield their own ball from being knocked away.

Once all balls have been played, the ball closest to the target scores a point for its side, plus one more point for each additional ball closer than the opponent's nearest.

The target ball is tossed again for a new round, and play continues until a side reaches the agreed winning score.
