MATERIALS
- Open space
- An optional headscarf or marker for the 'cat' player
HOW TO PLAY
1
Most players form a circle holding hands to act as a protective cage.
2
One player is chosen to stand inside the circle as the 'mouse' and another stands outside as the 'cat.'
3
The cat tries to break through, duck under, or climb over the joined hands to get inside and catch the mouse.
4
The circle actively moves and lowers or raises joined arms to block the cat while helping the mouse dodge around.
5
Once the cat finally tags the mouse, two new players are chosen to take over the roles and the game restarts.
