MATERIALS
- A lightweight perforated plastic ball
- A plastic or lightweight bat
- Markers for bases
MEASUREMENTS
A scaled-down diamond, often 30-40 feet between bases, sized to fit a backyard or park space.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set up a small diamond with bases sized to fit the available yard space.
2
The pitching team throws the perforated ball toward the batter, who tries to hit it fair into the field.
3
Because the ball curves easily, pitchers can use spin and wrist snap to make it dip or swerve past the batter.
4
Runners advance base to base after a fair hit, and defenders record outs by catching fly balls or forcing runners at a base.
5
Teams switch between batting and fielding after three outs, just like traditional baseball innings.
6
The team with more runs after the agreed number of innings wins.
