- 1 soft ball (a sock ball or small rubber ball works well)
- A small building, shed, or wall the ball can be thrown over
HOW TO PLAY

Divide players into two even teams, with one team standing on each side of a low roof, shed, or wall.

A player on the throwing team calls out 'Annie over!' and lobs the ball up and over the roofline to the other side.

If a player on the receiving side catches the ball before it touches the ground, that whole team races around the building to tag as many opposing players as possible before they scatter.

If the ball is dropped or missed, the receiving team simply throws it back over the roof and shouts 'Annie over!' to continue play.

Any player tagged during a successful catch-and-chase switches to the other team, and the game continues with the newly rearranged sides.

Play continues until one team has captured every member of the opposing team.
