- Candle wax or an old candle
- A metal spoon or ladle
- A container of cold water
- A candle or heat source to melt the wax
HOW TO PLAY

Melt a small piece of wax in the spoon over a candle flame until it turns liquid.

Hold the spoon over a bowl of cold water and pour the melted wax through the ring of a key into the water so it hardens instantly.

Lift the hardened wax shape out of the water once it has cooled.

Hold the shape up to a light source and study the shadow it casts on a nearby wall.
5
Take turns interpreting each other's shadow shapes as playful predictions for the year ahead.
