HOW TO PLAY
1
Men form two facing rows with a poet or lead singer standing between them.
2
The lead singer chants a short verse of praise or celebration.
3
Both rows repeat the verse back together, swaying shoulder to shoulder in time.
4
A dancer may step into the middle space, waving a shawl or cloak while the rows keep chanting.
5
The chant and sway continue, growing louder, until the lead singer brings it to a close with a final long note.
