- A felling axe
- Fixed wooden logs of equal size
- A stable chopping stand
MEASUREMENTS
Logs are typically 40-45cm in diameter, mounted upright about waist height.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Each competitor stands on top of, or beside, their own mounted log with an axe.

On the starting signal, the competitor chops through the log using alternating strokes from each side.
3
Judges track the time it takes to cut all the way through and drop the top section.
4
In a relay format, the next log is set up as soon as the previous chopper finishes their cut.
5
The competitor or team with the fastest total time across all logs wins.
